I was able to prevent the latest update of my Shield TV Pro, but the moment the ads appear: nVidia as a brand goes on my blacklist, and I will go elsewhere for my mediaplayer and graphics cards.

To anyone having problems with this, you can fix this issue by switching 'Google play service' process off in system apps.

This is a $200 premium device that advertised a sleek interface without ads. Now they bait and switch, betraying their customers. You can't trust Nvidia, beware.

It is simply too slow otherwise.
